Wednesday

Well today was very rough of a day. I bought the diamond plate rails for my truck today.
Started working on that until the battery died on the drill.
1SG ran us like crazy today I don’t like running at all but it is part of the job.
Well Star trek Enterprise is coming on so I’ll stop for now.

Tuesday

Good day all. Well today started early for me. I had to be at work today for a formation at 0525. The NCO’s needed to be there to get the soldiers working on the barracks before PT. At PT we did muscular strength and endurance training (Push-ups, Pull-ups, and Sit-ups).
This morning the platoon constructed training aids for a class that we will be giving in a few weeks.
This afternoon I gave the soldiers a class on Bridge Reconnaissance, and getting the radius of a curve. I sent the soldiers to go get equipment that they were not yet issued so they could have a complete issue. Well I think that is about all for today.

Monday

Well it is the First Day of the work week once again.
I am not sure how many entries I will have on this blog but I will keep trying to keep up with it better than before.

The Day starts out with the Sun up already at 4:45 am. Time to get moving got to get to PT (Physical Training). Got to make sure that My Squad is up and getting ready. Today instead of the normal run we ran a land navigation orientation run. This means that we ran to certain areas on post and got answers to some military trivia questions. My two man team won the contest with the most right answers. At 9:00 AM I have a class to go to. Since I have been here I have been to more classes than a person can shake a stick at. I am really getting tired of class rooms.

This afternoon I made sure that all the maintenance was done on all of the equipment. We started our train up for sapper stakes today. Which means that the NCO’s in the platoon gave classes on battle drills that will be required for the soldiers to know before sapper stakes. Sapper Stakes is a contest we have yearly to see which squad is the best out of the Company. Also this afternoon we had a personal gear Inventory that took a couple of hours.

It is Sunday

Well living here in Alaska is a total change for me. Yesterday it didn't get dark until after 11 pm and the sun was up around 5 am. The daylight is still getting longer and longer. I havn't done much today. Well I guess that is about it for today. I'll try to post more often.
